Selling To Centaur
What kind of gear does Centaur buy?
We primarily buy guitars, basses, amplifiers, pedals, and other musical equipment. If you're not sure whether we'll be interested in something, give us a call or bring it by.
How do you determine what my gear is worth?
We consider the item's make and model, condition, originality, current market value, and demand. We evaluate each piece individually and make our offers based on what we believe is a fair current market value.
Do I need an appointment to sell gear?
For a few items, you can simply bring them into the shop during business hours. If you have a large collection or multiple pieces of gear, we recommend calling ahead so we can make sure we have time to evaluate everything properly.
Can I get an estimate before bringing my gear in?
We're happy to answer questions and provide a general idea based on photos and information about your gear. However, we need to see and inspect an item in person before making a final offer.
Do I need to know what my gear is worth?
Nope! You don't need to research your gear or come in with a number in mind. We'll evaluate it and explain our offer.
